LinkedIn Photo Gets the Interview

 

Okay maybe it’s not the only reason he got the job, but I’m sure that Derek’s professional portrait on LinkedIn helped with his image and brand. Either way, it’s a great story. My hairstylist asked me to photograph her nephew for a LinkedIn profile pic, but it wasn’t just a standard request. Her nephew Derek has been living with her while he finishes up his undergraduate degree at the UofM Carlson School of Management. Kim gave him the “gift” of a headshot to improve his professional image on LinkedIn. Now that is a special aunt!

 

As an avid outdoorsman and snowmobile enthusiast, he was ecstatic to get interviews with both Polaris AND Arctic Cat just days after we did his pics and got one posted on LinkedIn.

 

 

 

 

Now I can’t say for sure that this awesome looking picture got him the interview at Polaris, but it certainly didn’t hurt! Congratulations, Derek!!
