Discounted Headshots for Target Alumni

UPDATED 04.02.15: Offer extended for the entire month of April.

Target Bullseye LogoKeliComm is extending a special offer to anyone who has been affected by the layoffs recently announced by Target. We are designating two days — one in March and one in April — to offer a steep discount for an updated LinkedIn profile headshot. The details are explained below.

I have been on both sides of the layoff fence many times over the course of my career, so I know firsthand the range of emotions that one experiences. As a past employee of Dayton Hudson Corporation, Target’s founding company, I have been inspired by the many posts and blogs that I’ve been reading the past few days from people who were affected. It is those stories, my past affiliation with Target and my firsthand experience with corporate restructuring that are inspiring me to make this offer. KeliComm does not discount our headshot and other services. We believe in treating all of our clients the same. So this is a unique offering in response to an unusual event affecting so many local professionals.

An updated headshot makes a significant difference in your professional image. Often our clients tell us that as soon as their new headshot is posted on LinkedIn, they start getting more inquiries and activity on their LinkedIn profile. We are hopeful that this offer will have a positive impact in helping you land a new position. There is no question it will ramp up your professional brand.

March 31st is “Target Day” at KeliComm Headshots

NOW EXTENDED FOR ALL OF APRIL!

      • OR book online: TARGET One and Done for 30 minutes.
      • Your session will be our standard 30 minute One and Done session with all of the same perks and benefits typically included in that session.
      • April’s “Target Day” will be announced on April 2nd.

I vividly remember the first time I was laid off, which was from the Department Store Division of Dayton Hudson Corporation almost 20 years ago. Like many of you, I felt my world crumbling around me. I thought I would retire from Dayton Hudson someday. I was completely committed to the company, having managed stores training for nearly 10 years as well as managing the usability evaluation function and employee communications. I was devastated. As a communications professional, I have also been on the managerial side of the fence many times. I know the decisions are never easy. I also know, unconditionally, that with any restructuring or layoff, I have been especially grateful for the outpouring of support from friends, family and colleagues. So I hope that this small gesture will, in some small way, help a few of you who are now trying to pick up the pieces and move on after an unexpected jolt to your career.
